Blogger Spoofs
My good buddy over at TheNetFool has started a blogger spoof week. He discussed it breifly with me before he launched it and it will be hilarious. He has started with my good friend Joe. It’s honestly really funny. I’ve embedded the video below and you can view the full post here.
Test It Out
There is no one set path for anyone on the internet. What worked for someone might not work for someone else. It really depends on who you are and what you’re good at. There is an audience or path for you online that you can utilize to make money but you just have to find it.
If something isn’t working after you’ve given it some time. Test something else out. Move on! There are so many opportunities to make money online. You can find one that you love doing and are good at.
Say affiliate marketing via search isn’t working out for you. Maybe you should try marketing on Facebook or Myspace. Perhaps you should try getting offline clients and marketing for them based on a budget online.
The point is, if you’re unhappy try a new space online out. Who knows it could be the one for you. But if you just sit at home and don’t test it out, you will never know. That new space could be extremely profitable. If you think there is a chance you’ll like something online try it.
I was talking to someone today that was spitting out all sorts of ideas for what he could do with his online efforts. My best advice for him was to just go for it and test. The worst that can happen is you fail, pick yourself up and keep going. As they say “no pain, no gain”!
The beauty of the internet world is the overhead to start up is virtually nonexistent in most cases. In what other place could you start a business just for a domain and hosting. With virtually no barrier to entry and ease of starting up, trying different online businesses are a viable option more people need to explore. Not everyone succeeds on their first time. I’ve failed plenty of times in my career online, I’m not afraid to admit that. You do have to pick yourself up after those failures and move along. Use them as a learning experience to fuel and build your next online venture. It just starts with a small step in that direction (testing) and who knows, it could just make you a bunch of money
Utilizing Your Blog Audience To Make Money Online
As a blogger you have a great way to make money, your audience. A blog allows you to interact with readers in a way a website doesn’t. It adds a lot more personality to the space. This makes selling your readers products/services much easier. That being said, you have to be very careful what you sell them.
Since your readers trust you, you’ll see a higher conversion rate on things you promote than if you just stuck up a banner on a website. You do have to be very careful not to abuse your readers though. If you sell to your readers properly, you can sell multiple products to a reader and continue to make money off them for a long time.
On the flip side, if you abuse your reader and sell them a bad product, the chances that they’ll get the next thing you recommend become greatly diminished. If you abuse your visitor by getting them to sign up to an offer that gives them a hidden rebill or something of the like that drains their credit card or spams them, guess who they’ll blame. That’s right, YOU!
You have to be careful in selecting the products you promote. The ones I choose to promote on this blog are ones that I use/have used and definitely feel are useful. This way I know exactly what I’m selling you guys and that its truly good for you.
As a result, I deliver a quality product to a targeted and receptive audience. Most likely as a result you guys will be happy with the product I give you and seriously consider the next thing I recommend.
So in conclusion, be careful what you sell. Sell smart, and you can make money again and again. If you aren’t wise, sure you’ll make a fast buck, but after that money is gone, you’re back to square one.
